![]() BackgroundThe sanctuary, set up in 1996 is independently managed on a daily basis jointly by Lin East and her husband Alan along with a small group of volunteers and supporters. The aim of the sanctuary is to: nurse sick and neglected ponies and goats, We specialise in Dartmoor Foals, bought from the local drift sales at Tavistock and Chagford. We buy the youngest and the weakest foals and bring them to Rainbow Valley where they receive veterinary care in addition to regular handling/education. When mature enough, we aim to find them suitable homes where they can live useful lives. However, the very old and disabled stay at Rainbow Valley for life with the help of sponsorship. We care 7 days a week, 365 days a year Please help us to help them, in any way that you can. A number of animals that have been rescued by Lin are now on loan and are thriving in their new homes. To find out about loaning an animal please click on "Rehoming"l. All the animals receive individual daily care and attention to suit their health and dietary requirements. Without the support of the general public the services would not be able to continue and many animals would continue to suffer or be neglected. |
